Southbank Lagoon...

In Southbank, there is a huge outdoor swimming area. It's a chlorine pool but it's surrounded by sand, just like a beach, with palm trees and other cool trees. It's free and a great way to cool off, right in the city. The beaches require a car, as they are about a 30 minute drive away. We're going to rent a car again soon and head to another one, but in the meantime, our swim here was quite nice and refreshing, especially considering the temps today were high! It was a warm one!! I liked the feeling of this part of the city...almost felt like you were on a resort. Just beside the pool, there was a cool outdoor market, restaurants, cafes, shopping, a movie theatre...you name it. Definitely could spend a full day here and not get bored!

The outdoor market...

...where I bought 2 new bracelets.
