So I officially received my written notice yesterday saying that the office where I work is closing. My last day will be July 7th, 2006 and then I guess we'll see where life takes me after that...I wish a had a ball that told the future! It would make decisions so much easier! At least it's a paycheck until then and I'm actually not feeling all that stressed about things. Nothing I can do about it...except to start looking for work elsewhere...

We had a BBQ at our place yesterday and then went to Cap St. Jaques, a nature park at the end of the island. Although it felt more like November than May, it was still a good time. Jesse had a great time!!! He loves jumping for rocks in the water but he actually chipped his fang tooth pretty bad in the process, so we're going to have to take him to the vet to get it checked out :( This is him jumping for rocks...did I mention that he absolutely LOVES this???
Shamus on the other hand did not seem so impressed by the walk...what a face!!!

Here's the crew, minus Steve, who's taking the picture. Overall, a great weekend...very relaxing.

Rainy day pics

At least my flowers will grow with all this rain!
This ugly little guy was enjoying the comfort of the dry, covered balcony.
Some more of my flowers.
And yet still more...
Puddles. Maybe Jesse and I should go jump in those later!:)
This is the view from our balcony...at least everything is nice and green!

TGIF a little early!

So today is Friday for me...I took tomorrow off so I'm looking forward to a 4 day weekend Baby! Can't wait! Should be a fun weekend...so far the plans are hanging with Lyndsay on Friday night, a BBQ at one of Steve's friends on Saturday night and we'd like to go to see 'Da Vinci Code' at some point (although I have heard a lot of negative reviews). Of course Jesse gets walked ran or shine, which as it stands right now looks like rain until Monday but hopefully that changes! I'm sure to keep you posted with pics from the weekend, as so far I haven't got to use my new camera as much as I'd like.

Stay Rain, Stay!

If its raing all weekend I wont feel bad for not going out.....BRING ON THE XBOX 360 BABY!
Halo and I have a date, then Unreal might stop by for some play....After that Burnout and I are going to go for a spin.....
This is actually research, I work in the Game's Industry, so I'm actually working while I'm playing. In fact, the worst thing that has ever been written on one of my evaluations is that i don't play enough games! And that i don't speak french......I can only do one thing at a time, so i choose to play more games.....

Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day (but not one anytime soon!)

It's raining here again, just like it has for the last 6 days and it's calling for rain for the rest of the week and for the long weekend. All this rainy weather is dampening my spirits. I'll say it again, just like I have said every rainy day for quite some time now...I really need to buy an umbrella. My bangs can't take another walk to work in the rain. It's not good. Ugh.

Steve's new toy

So Steve got an XBox 360 tonight. Part early birthday from me and part early birthday present from himself. I thought he was going to faint after he bought it. He's not good at spending money! Luckily for him, I'm the kind of wife who looks out for his best interests and using my expert sales person skills, talked him into it:) Did I mention that I am pretty good at spending money??? But seriously, he deserved it...he NEVER buys himself anything! Here he is setting it up...
Like a little boy on Christmas morning...
...who got exactly what he wanted from Santa!
He even felt the need to photograph it! Happy one month early birthday Steve! :)

Ticket booked!

I booked my ticket this morning for my trip to Nova Scotia this summer! I leave Montreal on Friday the 28th of July and return on Sunday the 13th of August. I'm excited! Lets just hope that all goes well from now until then and nothing changes!!! I'll need someone to pick me up from the airport (hint hint Sara or Connie:) ).

Pics with our new camera

Jesse had quite the run today at the dog park. I love it when he comes home and sleeps because he is one hundred percent exhausted and not just lazy!
Steve and I are really loving our new camera. We used our time in the woods to experiment with it. I think we're both going to be taking a lot more pictures!
There are so many pretty trees in bloom right now, all over Montreal. I want some of them in my yard someday...
Steve took this one...a pretty flower.
What a handsome puppy. We actually saw another duck toller at the dog park today! That's only the second toller we've seen since we moved here. Apparently there is a breeder close to here and their puppies aren't very expensive. Something to keep in mind.
There are so many pretty flowers growing in the woods.
Even the dandelions are fun to photograph!

Apartment pics

This is me with my new hair. It was part of my birthday present from Steve.
Steve at the "bar".
So we finally have working internet and here's some pics of our new place (some which were taken with our new camera!). This is the living room.
Hallway. See the sticks? Steve and I collected them in the woods:) Our kitchen.
The dining room.
Bathroom, which is really big!
And the balcony, which is a work in progress. See the plant hanging things on the rail? Steve gave me those as part of my birthday present. We also went for dinner, which was very nice.

Just the girls...

...night out. These were taken at the Java U lounge in Old Montreal. The place we went before that has awesome Sangria! This is Lyndsay and Jennifer...they are sisters...we were debating last night how much they look alike.
Me and Melissa.
This is my friend Sadaf and I.
Joanne and Lyndsay.
Katie and Melissa being silly. Surprise surprise! :)
This is the yummy lychee sangria....yuuummmy!
Whoa! How low can that shirt go??? Yikes! I think I might have been verging on a wardrobe malfunction!
Here we are when we first got to the Java U lounge. Thanks to everyone for coming to celebrate my birthday. Thanks for the presents and cards and also the birthday drinks! Also, thanks to Katie for the delicious birthday dinner before and yummy birthday cake and decorations! I really appreciated it! :)
