Day 6 Evening - Mole Creek Caravan Park

After spending the day at Launceston Cataract Gorge we piled into the camper van and headed to Mole Creek Caravan Park. On the way we stopped in a little town called Deloraine. Not much there but it was very beautiful. We picked up some beer and food, then headed towards Mole Creek. We got a little lost looking for the Caravan park but finaly found it. The park is run by a husband and wife and is only a small piece of properity with a small river running along one side. Mole Creek is surrounded by large hills and has over 300 discovered caves. The hills provide some awesome scenery. They even had a decorated Christmas tree.

Cari reading her book and me enjoying a beer.
Close up of Cari's foot, I don't want to make fun of her feet....but god those are some uber ugly toe's!
Here's a nicer view.
A view of the hills that surrounded the area, the clouds looked like they were rolling over the tops and spilling into the valley....pure awesome. The pictures don't do it justice.

Now, these two fellas were a good source of entertainment. On the left you have the old man, and on the right is the young pup. They were tied together, so where one went the other had to go....Unfortunitly for the old guy the young pup liked to move around a lot, barking at people, checking things out etc..... So it wasn't uncommon to see the old guy lay down to have a nap only to be draged along the grass by his hyper active lease mate. While we felt bad for the old fella, it was a pretty funny sight.
