Best Day EVER!!!

Today is a great day for 2 reasons...

1. We got our laptop fixed so I'm finally back in touch with the world!!!!

AND...........................................................................

2. I'm going to Canada!!!! Yes, CANADA!!!! After much debate and constant plans changing, I finally decided that it's been too long and I need a trip home! My wonderful hubby totally agreed and I'm leaving for Nova Scotia on November 21st for 2 weeks. I seriously can't quite believe that I'm actually going. I mean after almost 3 years of being away, without seeing any of my family or friends, I'm actually going home to visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!:)

Hail!

So the past week has been extremely wet in Melbourne, and we even got some hail.

It almost looks like snow!

I'm going to try to post tomorrow night using this crappy old laptop. I feel completely out of touch and it's driving me nutty!!! I'm too sleepy to fight with it tonight though, so stay tuned for an update! We've been very busy doing lots of wonderful things!:)

Update!

So, I know I said I'd post but then the charger for our laptop stopped working, leaving no way to charge the laptop, therefore leaving me with no laptop at all. I'm dying without my daily blogging fix (both mine and others!). I feel like I've had so much to share! We bought a universal charger yesterday and it doesn't work, so now we have to order one. I have no idea when we'll get it. I'm posting this from our crappy old laptop, which randomly keeps skipping around as I type, putting my words where they shouldn't be. I'm about to scream!!!!!!!!! There it just did it again! Screeeeeeeeam!!!

In other news...I tried to make some phone calls home and for some reason the phone isn't working. Steve has to call about it. That made me scream too!

Oh and did I mention that our sky light in the bathroom blew off on Friday night? Yup, nothing but sky when we looked up. We had to call the State Emergency Services and they put a tarp over it. Hopefully, the rental agency will send someone to fix it this week! Screeeeeeam!

All this to say, I might be out of touch for awhile!:)

Happy Spring!

Today is the first day of spring in Australia. I've been seeing the signs of it all over! It's really nice to be living in a place again that shows such distinct signs of a new season. In Brisbane it was kind of just warm and hot. Here, flowers are blooming everywhere, buds are turning into leaves all over, the days are getting longer and I wake up to the birds singing outside our window. I loved spring in Canada and this reminds me a lot of home. In honor of the special day, I sewed some placemats today with a really pretty butterfly fabric I found ages ago on sale. I also snapped this photo from the car, so it's not the greatest, but you can see how beautiful the trees are these days! Once it actually starts to warm up a bit more, I have big plans for a little flower garden and a cozy spot to sit outside this summer. The countdown begins to the day when I can wear sundresses and sandles again! It's all just so exciting:)
