More good news!

I got a job!!!!

Yippee!

It's a position as a kindergarten teacher, working with children between the ages of 3 and 5. They want me to plan and implement a kindergarten program, with emphasis on preparing children for school. There isn't really a strong program in place at this stage, because of lots of changes over the last few months (the centre has recently sold to new owners) and it will be my responsibility to organize the room, plan the programming and activites and organize whatever resources will be useful to the program. I think it will be challenging and a wonderful opportunity to use my creative side. I haven't been able to stop thinking about all the ideas floating around in my head, since I had my interview on Friday. I found out yesterday that I got the job and have already snapped into teacher mode...looking at stickers when shopping at the grocery store and getting excited about all the great kid stuff at Ikea!

Can you tell I'm excited about this opportunity?! :) I start in a week, so that gives me one more week to rest and relax and then jump right in. It's very close to home (only a 20 minute walk from our house) and the people I met seem really lovely.

I think it's going to be really awesome!
