Happy Monday!
I woke up this morning with a feeling that this week is going to be a good week! Hopefully, I'm right because this committee meets tomorrow to review my overseas qualifications to decide if my degree is equivalent to what I need to work with children in the state of Victoria. I'm hoping to know by the end of the week and once I have that, I should be good to go on the job hunt. Yup, that's been the hold up. Until I find out what my equivalency is, no one will hire me in the child care field. I only found this out about a month ago and have been waiting ever since for my application to be reviewed. Fingers crossed that it all goes well! And, just in case you are moving to Victoria, Australia and work with children in the early childhood field, go to this website and find out what you need to do before you apply for work. They review both overseas qualifications and even some interstate ones, depending on what you have. Had I known sooner, I would have sent them an application sooner and I would probably be working by now, but I believe everything happens for a reason and to be honest, the time off has been nice! I think I'll appreciate working more after this little extended holiday and hopefully, be in a happier, healthier place starting a new job!

I guess it's a good sign that they're strict. Just tough at the moment. I'm sure it'll turn out in your favor. :-) Enjoy your time off!
