Turkey dinner at the Purdy's

The Purdy's had everyone over yesterday for an early Christmas dinner, since everyone will be all over the place over the actual holidays. It was a great dinner and really helped to kick off the holiday season! Special thanks to Darryl and Stacey for everything...we had a great time!
The turkey was perfect! So moist and yummy!
Darryl putting the finishing touches on the gravy.
Jeff and Paul having a sing song. I have a couple of videos I want to post soon of this! Stay tuned...
Jeff's Wii brought hours of fun to the get together. This is me boxing. I won!!! Yeah, that's right...don't mess with me!!!
Everyone had a turn playing. My favorite was the bowling.
As you can see, the game involved a lot of attention and focus.
Paul holding Breagha. His first time holding a baby...he didn't do too bad! I think you're a natural Paul!

I love this picture of Breagha!
Karine making Breagha smile.
She's SO adorable!
A hockey game broke out in the basement. Shamus really kicks butt at hockey!

Mommy and son.
What a handsome kid!

Just for future reference and in case anyone cares...Cheddar flavored Rice Cheese is DISGUSTING!!!! However, the Mozzarella flavored one is actually quite good.

It's Christmas time in the Dickinson house...

So, I decorated for Christmas. I couldn't help myself. I started addressing my Christmas cards and I suddenly caught the Christmas spirit bug. I know it's a little early, but in my defense, I am going to be in Nova Scotia from December 1st to 15th and I want to enjoy my own decotaions for as long as possible! So, now we just need a little snow and it'll feel like Christmas is right around the corner! Just please don't decide to snow on the day I fly to NS...I don't want that hassle, thanks!:)

Some pics of our sighseeing adventures...

Okay, let me just ask you...would seeing this (people sitting in a bus in the middle of the parking lot) make you want to rush home and book your trip to Mexico??? I find this the strangest form of advertising...They were even acting out suntanning and getting a massage at one point...It must get boring in there...I wonder how much they get paid...
This is the Go to Mexico bus.
Kristi on the train in her new Montreal scarf.
The Christmas display in the Ogilvy's window downtown. You know Christmas is on the way when this pops up. Where's the snow? I think we need a little snow to make it feel more Christmasy and less grey in Montreal! Man, November really is a depressing looking month!
More of the display. It's really very cool! Everything moves and does actions.
I love this wine rack. This was at the restaurant where we had breakfast/lunch...brunch.
Me checking out the Notre Dame Basilica...You used to be able to just walk in and have a look, now it costs $4 for a peek!
Us in China Town. I bought my usual China medicine things for neck pain at the Chinese Drugstore...LOVE that stuff! The Notre Dame Basilica in Old Montreal. This is the place where Celine Dion got married.
The Bay on Ste. Catherine Street. Not a great picture but it looked very pretty at night.
Kristi took this picture. She found the little snow tents that everyone puts over their driveways weird, and it's true...I remember when we moved here, I thought it was weird too. No one has these in Halifax. Although, it's really quite brillant. Definitely helps with shovel time and cleaning off your car! Downtown, you see these everywhere...like literally on some streets, every house has one. This was taken on our street.
Steve waiting for the train, which was packed when it got to us because it was the Santa Clause Parade dowtown. Lots of kids everywhere!
Jesse loved Kristi...she's actually a little allergic to dogs, but did okay with Jesse...that's a good thing because Jesse liked sneaking into her room and sleeping on her bed...
I think he thought if he only half laid on her bed, then it would be okay and we wouldn't kick him out...

A few pics...

The flowers in the Carrefour Laval mall. So pretty.
Christmas is popping up everywhere around Montreal. I guess it's not that far away.
More flowers. We went for dinner last night at Madisons. GREAT service, good food and reasonable prices. Will definitely eat there again.
Kristi and I waiting for the train after a long day of shopping. We look a little tired and shopped out.

More Christmas in downtown Montreal.

Finally a new post...

Well, long time, no post...Sorry Katie!:) Anyway, we've been keeping pretty busy. We had a good weekend. My cousin, Kathy and her hubby, Joe stayed over night on Friday night and had dinner with us. Always LOVE hanging out with them! My friend, Kristi arrived Saturday morning bright and early from Halifax and is staying with us all week. We all went to the Biodome on Sunday and saw, my favorite, the penguins! I would love to have a pet penguin! Steve loves the Biodome, so he had a good time as always. Tomorrow maybe we'll head downtown to do some shopping. It's great just hanging out and catching up with Kristi again!
The penguins were getting fed when we were there. I've never seen them get fed, so I was excited. Man they are SO cute! I could watch them walk and eat and play all day!
Me and Kristi.
Steve watching the fish. He could watch the fish swim all day.
It's chilly in Montreal! We look cold in this pic. That's the Olympic Stadium behind us.
See the little girl bonding with the little groundhog guy?
Mr. Monkey. I hate zoos, but truly do enjoy the Biodome. I hope the animals there are happy...

Happy Birthday Kristjan!

Birthday boy.
Birthday boy and Brian.
We had dinner at a cool little Tanesian restaurant that had belly dancers dancing during the evening, as we ate. Here's one of them...they were very good! The food was also very good!
Stacey and me.
Steve's had a few drinks at this point...can you tell by that smile?:)
Stacey and Darryl.
Kristjan's b'day dessert. Moments before this pic was taken, Kristjan was knocked in his already broken nose by the waitress! Happy birthday!
Some of the gang. See the cool decor?
